Course Overview

The Bachelor in Nutrition & Dietetics (BND) program at BPR College of Allied Health Science, Vellore, is a 4-year undergraduate course (3 years academic + 1-year internship) that focuses on the science of nutrition, food, and diet management to promote health and prevent disease.
The program combines theoretical knowledge and practical training in human nutrition, diet planning, food science, clinical dietetics, and public health nutrition. Students learn to assess nutritional needs, design personalized diet plans, and implement nutritional interventions for individuals and communities.
Through laboratory sessions, field training, and clinical exposure, students gain hands-on experience in food analysis, therapeutic nutrition, and dietary counseling, preparing them for diverse roles in healthcare, wellness, and food industries.
