The Bachelor in Cardiac Care Technology (BCCT) program at BPR College of Allied Health Science, Vellore, is a 4-year undergraduate course (3 years academic + 1-year internship) designed to train students in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart-related) diseases using advanced medical technology and equipment.
This program provides in-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, and various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ECG, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and cardiac monitoring. Students gain hands-on experience in assisting cardiologists during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
The course aims to produce competent and ethical cardiac technologists who play a vital role in hospitals, cardiac centers, and intensive care units by ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective patient monitoring.
