ADMISSION OPEN FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2026 – 2027
Companion Care

Course Overview

The Bachelor in Dialysis Technology (BDT) program at BPR College of Allied Health Science, Vellore, is a 4-year undergraduate degree (3 years of academic study + 1-year internship) that prepares students to become skilled dialysis technologists capable of managing patients with renal (kidney) disorders requiring hemodialysis treatment.
The course provides in-depth knowledge of renal anatomy and physiology, principles of dialysis, biomedical equipment handling, and patient care techniques. Students are trained to assist nephrologists during dialysis procedures, monitor vital parameters, and ensure the safe and effective operation of dialysis machines.
Through clinical exposure and hands-on training, students develop strong practical skills in operating and maintaining dialysis units, infection control, and patient interaction — becoming integral members of the healthcare team in hospitals and dialysis centers.
